Hello, I’m Kayla…

I’ve been a business owner in Corvallis since 2014, and opened The Hideout Massage in 2022. I took a look at what I love about being self-employed — meeting new people and having the flexibility to serve them according to their needs while still taking care of myself — and I decided a new career was in order.

I went back to school at IBS School of Cosmetology and Massage in 2021. The name is unfortunate, but I had some great, very experienced teachers and a chance to work with clients and fellow students to hone my skills. I received my license from the state in the summer of 2022.

I am now offering Reiki, as well as senior, palliative, and end of life massage services on an outcall basis in your home or location of choice. In addition, I’m offering Reiki and massage for canines on an outcall basis.

I enjoy learning about my client’s needs in advance of their appointment so I can plan ahead how best to serve them. I’ll take time before your appointment to find out what your goals are for the session, what you have liked (or disliked) about other bodywork you’ve received, and learn how I can tailor the experience to your individual needs. I’ll check in with you throughout the session to make sure we’re on the right track, and afterward I’ll ask for your feedback about whether we met the goals we set.

I’ve lived in Corvallis for ten years and been involved in the community a great deal during that time. There are still lots of people I haven’t met! I love to volunteer, to write and create, and I read like a fiend (follow me on Goodreads!). I also enjoy hiking in the beautiful McDonald Forest and spending time with my menagerie of furry critters.

I look forward to meeting you, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need special accommodations!
